Randall Lee Rose, narrator

This series will explore and illustrate the power and the beauty of our planet’s natural hazards and dangers. It will travel to the ends of the Earth to record the best ever footage of floods, using new camera techniques and specialist equipment to go where no camera has gone.

Floods are unpredictable and are most frequent and most lethal of all the natural disasters, accounting for 40% of all deaths caused by “acts of God”.

Each phenomenon will be dealt with through three historical perspectives: modern, ancient and geological. Looking through these three perspectives will help illustrate how these violent forces of nature have shaped the Earth through the ages and how they are still be reckoned with even today.
